Before & After School Care

Bondi After care offers a wide range of supervised, age appropriate activities, games, arts and crafts that encourage your child to interact with friends in a safe and convenient location. The centre provides a healthy afternoon tea as well as birthday and cooking activities. We encourage parents to provide feedback on our menus and programs offered on our daily operations. Regular feedback and involvement in the setting of policy's helps to ensure that your children enjoy their time spent at the centre.

Upon the enrolment of your child to the centre staff will be happy to discuss any additional needs your child may have or any additional support that may be available.

All families who are Australian residents are entitled to government assistance in the form of the Child care Benefit.

Please drop into visit the centre any time to meet the staff, view the children's activities and view our aims and policies.

Operating Hours

Our Centre currently operates in the mornings and afternoons during the school term.

Before Care:     Monday to Friday 7:30am - 8:30am
After Care:        Monday to Friday 3:00pm - 6:00pm

Staff collect Kindergarten children from their teacher or classroom.

Fees

The annual registration fee covers mandatory insurance.

$50.00 for the first child
$10.00 for each sibling

The standard fee before your child care benefit is deducted is:

A late fee of $20.00 per 15 minute block will be charged for children not picked up from the centre by 6pm.

Absences
For permanent bookings fees still apply if the child is absent. Each child is eligible to receive the child care benefit for an initial 42 days of absence per financial year.

Child care Benefit (CCB)
The child care benefit is a form of government fee assistance that is available to families who are Australian Residents.
 
To claim the CCB discount please supply your CRN's (Customer Reference Number) when you enroll your child.

There is a separate CRN for parents and each individual child.

If you don't know your CRN's or are unsure if you are eligible for the discount please call the Family Assistance Office (FAO) on 136 150.

Once you have provided the CRN's your fee reduction will be included on your weekly invoices. Parents can also view an online statement that show child's attendance and reduced fee information via the 'View Child care Statement' link at:
www.familyassist.gov.au

Methods of Payment

Invoices are printed weekly or fortnightly and can be collected from the sign out desk under the child's surname.

Payments should be made within 2 weeks of the invoice date by cash or cheque. Cheques should be made payable to Bondi After School Care.

Receipts for any payments made will be attached to the following weeks invoice.

Staff
The staff at Bondi Before & After Care is comprised of a Centre Coordinator and a team of permanent and casual child care workers. All staff have backgrounds in child care ore related fields. As per regulations the carer ration does not exceed 1 to 15 children. An additional carer is allocated for children with special needs.

Management
Bondi Before & After School Care is a non profit organisation which relies on fundraising activities, donations and the voluntary group of parents and school staff representatives, who oversee the running of the centre.

The committee meets with the P&C meeting in the staff common room on the first Wednesday of each month at 6:30pm. All new parents and carers are welcome to attend to share your fundraising ideas or offer any suggestions.

Refreshments
Nutritious organic breakfast and afternoon tea is provided at all sessions following the Australian Dietary Guidelines for children. Please inform staff of any allergies or food requirements your child may have.

Activities
Children are provided with a variety of activities including arts and crafts, birthday and cooking activities, sports outside shaded play, exercise on the play equipment games & puzzles, free play, reading and rest time with minimal television. Older children are encouraged and enjoy doing their homework together at aftercare.
For out door fun remember children must wear a hat.
